I didn't have a 27 with a 4 inch barrel. After doing some reading, it seems that there aren't a lot of them, especially blued guns. My serial number puts it around 1980 vintage. No red ramp front sight or WO rear sight which might be a little less common.

Pics of other 4 inch 27s would be welcome..

My Precious 3.5" 357, model 27-2. - stored since the early 1980's after gunsmith review, replaced red with yellow (better visibility at night) front site plastic insert -no big deal, any color you like by any competent gunsmith-cut to size slip it in, SN 101025, all serials match, all functions sharp, snappy and clean. Grips are refinished - gently of course. Action is tight/firm but very, very smooth, not fired in 45 years, lightly used before that 6 shots test firing by gunsmith - all ok! Purchased privately from an _DSC1680.JPGold-timer in Mesa, AZ, cared for and stored away -out of sight- safely with "gun oiled rags" for all these years. Thinking of selling but don't know what the asking price should be; any opinions? Thx. enjoy!

Saw a 27-2 listed on a pawn shop app but the pawn shop was 48 miles away. Since I am always looking for a 2.5” M27-2 I called and the manager told me it was 3.5” and blued. He sent pictures but it didnt look like 3.5” but I had to be sure. So I made the trip and it was a 4” but I liked it and we made a deal and it came home with me as I kinda been looming for a 4” as well. Seems like most 27s are the longer barrels. I am happy. Still looking for that elusive 3.5” 27-2. Makes life interesting
