Hey, I go all the way back to the aluminum canisters with screw-on caps! They made great message drops from airplanes.

I remember the aluminum Kodak canisters from childhood. When I was heavily into photography those black & gray ones were Kodak. Fuji had the clear ones. Wish I had kept a few, but they just got tossed. There would always be more (yeah, right.)

Now we have prescription pill bottles. I have one that carries one of my spare car keys that had the top loop broken off and I didn't want to pay the long price for another key.
