Are We At War Now?

I sense a large dose of John Wayne toughness and realism in remarks from a now closed thread and this thread. The smell of U.S. victory is certainly in the air.

Correct and I have talked and know many US National Guard, have talked to Nato Military etc all that have recently been stationed in those areas of Iraq under Operation Inherent Resolve. And they will go into detail about the many attacks by the Revolutionary Guard to their base camps. The thing they realized was that although they had defense missiles, the vast amount were purposely landing OUTSIDE of the perimeter. Hundreds of them and constant volleys.
Why outside. They were showing the US they have the capability to destroy those bases anytime. And right NOW they are SITTING DUCKS.
And I cannot tell you how much this bothers me to no end.
That, or more likely the missiles weren't accurate enough to hit their targets.

Iran has stated, and stated so again today, that their nuclear program is only for peaceful purposes; that they have no intention to develop or possess nuclear weapons. Since that is the case, why would nuclear weapons owning countries provide nukes to Iran? Iran would have no use for them, right?

Because things changed big time when the US bombed Iran. Russia is now going to protect their economic priorities and boundaries.
What many do not understand is that in reality, Israel is actually a US Proxy.

Only folks who believe in Santa Claus believe Iran was NOT building toward nuclear weapon-building capacity.

This will get technical quickly, but please stay with me.

The most common military rockets in the Middle East, South Asia, and northern Africa (especially Somalia and Mali) are Russian-designed (but produced by many nations) 107mm rockets. These were designed to be used from multiple tube or or static improvised single launchers. The problem with launchers is that counter-battery radar pinpoints the rockets' point of origin (POO) from within milliseconds after launch, which generates an immediate radar-guided artillery or drone response - anyone nearby meets Allah. So; when Iraqi Shi'a Privately Mobilized Forces (PMFs - they fought alongside other Iraqis against ISIS from 2014 onward) want to send you a message, they prop up a 107 looking toward your general direction, then set it off with cellphones or fiber optic cables in order to avoid meeting their 72 virgins early. IF you can destroy all cell towers near (quite impolite in peacetime), you can eliminate cell phone initiation. If you have enough $100,000 Electronic Counter-Measure (ECM) devices, you can also deaden cell signals, but those have very limited range and aren't practical for base defense.

So; folks with a grudge can fire 107mm rockets generally at Embassies (this happens often at the Embassy in Baghdad) or military installations, but you seldom actually hit them. What you can do this way is learn precisely how folks in these facilities respond to repeated attacks and can develop a really deadly complex attack strategy for when you get serious.

These are probing and observation attacks, not exactly the same as being a bad shot.1000002982.jpg

Lol, Dershowitz and guy's like Mark Levine talk a big game but are the last two that would ever put boots on and go and fight.

I remember the very start of the Ukraine War. My first post was that this is going to be a gigantic quagmire resulting in the death of millions, especially Ukrainians.

This Iran/Israel war is going to make that war and Iraq looks like childs play. This time it will be Americans by the millions as well. This is just the infant stage we are in. Hell is coming. Be patient.
They are a little to old to consider combat…
