If you are looking for some lighter entertainment, and considering everything going on in the World, the 2025 Men's CWS kicked off today on ESPN.

I watched a lot of the regional and super regionals and there are some surprising teams who earned their shot at a championship.

If you are a baseball fan and love a game played for the love of the game, there should be some great games.

Go Murray State, wherever you may be from. Made a great run, for one of the last teams in the tourney, to get to Omaha.

And if you are a big fan Omaha host a great event and I recommend making the trip at least once in a lifetime.

Omaha is rightly proud of being the home of the MCWS. Doesn't surprise me at all that they would put on a great event.

It is rare that I miss the MCWS or the LLWS. The passion displayed by these young players for the game and their teams is almost unrivaled in the sports world.

Baseball is my favorite spectator sport.

Nope. They were eliminated in the Super Regionals by Arizona.

No sir. The 1, 2, 4 and 5 (NC) all knocked out. NC went in Super Regional.

Highest seeds left are AR, at 3 and LSU at 6.

I think 7, 9 and 10 were also knocked out with OR State at 8 still in.

Murray State is my (and my wife’s) alma mater. It is a wonderful school, located in the bucolic town of Murray, in the great Commonwealth of Kentucky.

College baseball may have surpassed college football as my favorite sport. At first I thought Rusty's encouragement for MSU was a reference to Mississippi State, but we are not there. Last time we made it was in 2021 when won the National Championship for the first time. Our coach was relieved of his duties before the end of the season, and we still made it to (but not out of) the regionals with an interim head coach.

We since have hired Brian O'Connor from Virginia (and an Omaha native) who took Virginia to the CWS seven times (?) and won a NC in 2015. At 2.9 million he is currently the 2d highest paid baseball coach (Vitello at Tennessee is the highest). We take our baseball seriously down here.

I am pulling for Murray State. They defeated ole miss on their home field to come out of the Oxford regional. There is something refreshing about a small school without a lot of resources, etc., making it. I understand the Coach cuts the grass and the players tarp the field.

My second favorite is Arkansas. They, like State (Mississippi State) have made it the CWS many times, but have never won it all.

College baseball is a great sport! Go Blue Raiders!

The people who do the seeding kinda missed the mark this year in both the men and women’s WS. Top seed in both got knocked out early
