I picked up a SAR B6C, which is a poly framed hammer-fired compact. Not been to the range but after a good cleaning and some lube, plus a bunch of dry firing, the formerly rough DA is a lot smoother and down 2+ lbs from when I got it and the SA is a bit over 4lb and crisp. Feels good in my hand and about the same size as the PX4 compact I often carry.

Best of all: $167 on the big auction site. (I'm a sucker for hammer-fired and at that price it was hard to say no as it got excellent reviews.)

So now I'm thinking of getting one in a stiker-fired flavor. (And looking for a similar deal.)

Gonna want full-size as I carry either the PX4, a 4513TSW, Shield EZ in 9 (or .380), SW99 in .40 compact, or a .45 PC, ported Shield.

But which one?

Would appreciate any perspectives on the SAR striker guns, pros and cons, experience, etc. Looking for 9mm as I don't need anything in .45 or 40 and I don't need any kind of "tacti-cool" instrument.

I gotta say I'm modestly impressed with the apparent build quality, trigger, and ergos. We'll see how it shoots next week.
