SPF (Elsewhere) Listing for sale a nice, honest WWI 1917 Colt New Service revolver in .45 acp. I would rather sell to a fellow Forum member than through GB where you have all the hassles of GB fees, compliance fees, taxes, and that other "Big Brother" stuff, etc. No taxes, fees here!
Here is a link to a lot of photos:Imgur: The magic of the Internet
What we have for sale a very nice 917 Colt New Service revolver in .45 acp. I believe this was shipped around the Sept 1918 timeframe, so likely made it overseas and may have seen a little action before the Armistice. Original blued finish which shows the factory "grind" marks in the right spots, indicating that it is original. No rust or pitting that I see. It has the full 4 1/2" barrel. Bore looks to be clean with solid lands and grooves. Other than putting a light coat of oil on it, I have not cleaned it up. Action seems smooth with a nice, tight lock up. I have never fired this but wouldn't hesitate to do so based on how it feels and seems to function.
I took a lot of photos as a picture is worth a 1,000 words. If you still have any questions or need additional photos, don't hesitate to ask. I am trying to avoid surprises and disappointments. My goal is to have a smooth transaction and happy customer, so would prefer that you understand what you are getting up front. A nice solid, honest WWI Colt revolver. Asking $SPF shipped (and remember NO sales tax or fees here folks!) - shipped anywhere in the lower 48. Will be shipping FedEx 3 day and if you want any other shipping method or signature required, that will be extra. Must ship from my C&R to your C&R/FFL.
I will offer a 3 day inspection but the item has to be returned in the same condition as received. Refund will be for the purchase price less outbound shipping. If you mess with it, its yours. Return shipping is on you. My goal would be to have a happy buyer so please ask all questions beforehand to avoid any surprises/disappointments. Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional info/photos.
I can take a credit card payment (add 4% to the total), direct discreet payment through PP Friends and Family, MO/certified funds (all ship immediately) or a personal/business check (must clear before shipping). FIrst unqualified "I'll take it" posted here on the forum site gets it. Cross-posted, so the first date/time stamp has first rights. Once you post the "I'll take it" we need to have communicated regarding payment within 24 hours or I will offer the item to any subsequent buyer who wants it (posting the "I'll take it means you are committing to buy it and not wanting me to hold it for you - please understand that I am just trying to keep things fair for all parties).
