We just said so long to one of my best friends in College and his wife. They stayed with us for a few days and even though we have talked pretty much every month since then, we have not seen each other in 25 years! The last time we saw each other was in Rochester NY when I was up there on business.
They live in Upstate NY and they both just retired and came to FL for a week's vacation. We spent the last few days reminiscing, BBQ-ing, looking through old college photo albums, went bowling, to a show, a restaurant and of course I had to take my friend shooting! He was in the Navy for 6 years but was never into firearms. About the last time he fired a gun was in Basic training, so I had to go over everything with him again. All I will say is that he managed to hit the paper a few times, but he did seem to have fun.
They are heading to see a few tourist sites and another friend before flying home on Saturday. I can't believe we are out of college for 49 years! WOW - Time has really flown bye!
Anyway, we all enjoyed the reunion immensely and we both said we can't wait another 25 year - ha ha. Now back to our regular routine until next week when my Son and DIL come down for a week.
