A factory letter accompanies this scarce US Army issued Pre Model 14 K-38 confirming the configuration and detailing its original shipment on July 30, 1956 to the US Army at Springfield Ordinance in MA. The gun is equipped with a 6” barrel, original bright blue finish and the numbers matching checkered walnut diamond magna grips. A tough to find and all original Army S&W that is one of only a small handful surviving that were not decommissioned. The gun retains nearly 99% of the original bright blue finish showing only very faint wear at the muzzle ends. Overall an investment grade collectible S&W!

A factory letter accompanies this 1st year special ordered Model 57 confirming the configuration and detailing its original shipment on August 27, 1965 to Rex Firearms in New York, New York. The gun is equipped with a 4” barrel, original nickel finish and checkered Goncalo Alves diamond target stocks AKA ‘Cokes’. Early nickel examples are very tough to find, especially in a 4” barrel. The gun is complete in the original transition lined clamshell case with the cleaning tools and screwdriver. The original nickel finish is bright and clear, rating about 98% with some minor scattered age spots on the barrel and frame. These aren’t super noticeable but certainly there. There is a small repair in the bottom edge of the left panel of the Cokes. The bore and cylinder chambers are mint and the mechanical working order is flawless. A tough to find early nickel Model 57 complete in the case!

The gun is equipped with an 8 3/8” barrel, original bright blue finish and checkered Goncalo Alves diamond target stocks, AKA ‘Cokes’. The gun is complete in the clamshell with the long tapered SAT, cleaning rod, bottle brush and bore mop; the interior of the case is quite nice! Overall the gun is virtually as-new retaining 99% of the original bright blue finish which shows virtually no wear. The bore and cylinder chambers are mint and the mechanical working order is flawless. Overall a top shelf 4-screw .44 Magnum!

This signed factory Russ Smith Class A factory engraved Pre Model 18 K-22 Combat Masterpiece is accompanied by a 1984 dated factory letter confirming the configuration and detailing its original shipment on March 13, 1956 to HH Harris in Chicago, Illinois. The SWHF invoice copy notes the gun was $45.36, the class A engraving was $100 and the rosewood target stocks were $4.12; note the engraving cost more than double the price of the gun! What really makes this package special is the original numbers matching box, marked on the bottom for every special feature! The gun is virtually new from end to end with a gorgeous extra-bright blue finish. Russ Smith’s tight floral scrollwork is deeply cut and splendid from every angle. The smooth rosewood target stocks have a particularly fine figure and grain pattern. The gun is signed under the left grip frame RUSS; knowledgeable collectors are aware of the rarity of signed factory engraved pieces. This is among the finest factory engraved Pre-18 any collector could ever hope for!

The gun retains about 98% of the original finish showing very slight wear at the muzzle and minor age spots on the left side of the frame which are really minor in hand. The bore and cylinder chambers are mint and the mechanical working order is flawless. The checkered walnut service grips are excellent and number to a slightly earlier gun. Overall a fine example of the model that you can shoot and enjoy!

Built in the mid 1970’s this neat Model 25-2 .45 ACP Model of 1955 is equipped with a 4” barrel, original bright blue finish and smooth walnut magna style grips. The barrel was expertly cut and target crowned from the original 6” barrel, to the present 4” barrel by the original owner. Note the smooth combat trigger has been polished nicely as well. The workmanship is excellent! The bore and cylinder chambers are mint and the mechanical working order is flawless. A nice Model 25-2 that will make an excellent shooter!
