Talked to Curt about checkering a pair of Culina stocks that I had. I wanted a Roper like pattern on a football cutout, medallion set and he set me this picture he had in one of his books. Looked good to me so I sent them away.
Got them back yesterday and was very impressed. They came out beautifully. I can’t say how perfect they are matched left to right. Any distortion is the cameraman.
He also reshaped the stocks a little, taking some of the flair out of the bottom.
Joe said artistry in wood a couple of days ago and this is just more proof. I really should have a rarer N-frame but my 27-2 will have to do.
