    Hole in frame.

    Hole in frame I agree with Milton, I have the same hole on my Ruger Blackhawk 357.It faces at an angle to the firing pin. Looks to belong there.

    My magazine catch and nut is plastic. It is a 457 not 457 S. I want to replace the catch with a metal catch and nut. Will other 45xx series metal catch and nut work in the 457?

    I have the same Model. Try taking off the grips and see if the serial # is stamped on one of the grips. Mine are stamped with the guns serial#. Hope this helps.

    There is an adapter that the pin of your original grips goes into that has holes for the Hogue grips attach to. It is very simple to install.
