Model 59 I own a Model 5904 High Cap Pistol, bough from a local dealer, my under standering is that it is not the pistol but the mag capacity. Is this true? I also have pre ban mags that go with my pre 1994 gun . I believe I am in compliance with the Law of Ma.

Model 59 Just checked the Ma Approved Hi Cap roster an the M 59 is on the approved list . TTSH is the roster wrong?

My local Gun Dealer has sent S&W and Colts to Ford and has gotten better than factory results on Finishes. My recomendation would be Ford for a finish.

All that I can say is the gun was meant to be fired , Collectables were not , so do not dry fire it , put it away for a resale some day. I shoot all of my Revolvers and I am only concerned with proper function all the time. Just my take on this.

I actually did the same thing with my 457 2 weeks ago, I just removed the strut from the 457 to the spurred hammer. The hardest part is keeping the other parts together for assembly.

I got great results with a fine wire wheel and Stainless metal polish.

457 Hammer So John, does this mean that I can use any caliber 9mm, 10mm 40 .45acp in the slide because they will fit a 3rd gen gun that is from a 1st, 2nd or 3rd gen gun? My point is are they all inter changeable to the frame and Slide? Joe
