I need a model 27.
OHHHH! and I love your old Gixxer,, everybody needs one of those too,, only my wife sold my last two gixxer 1000's, an 04, and later an 01.. those are gone, but I did test drive a Shelby GT350 today, about as close as you can come to a gixxer with 4 wheels, LOVE that 8250 rpm redline! zoom! zoom! and if you can believe it, that flat plane crank leaves the GT350 with the "beautiful music" award,, yeah, it sounds even better than the gixxer, kind of like Nicky Hayden's old 5 cylinder Honda!

My Son in Law and daughter are moving to San Antonio in a few weeks,, I haven't told them yet they have to leave Arlie and Lettie! but I will take them down to visit!!

Yup, the original air/cooled Gixxers had a sound all their own! I need to get the front fork seals replaced but everything else is cherry. I miss riding her!
That Shelby is a nice ride! What part of SA are they moving to?
And yes, I wanna be a fool kid and have a 27!

He is in the Air Force, so heading down to Lackland, AFB

I bought my 6” M 27-2 used in the mid-1980’s. If I had it to do over I would have bought the 5” in the case next to it.

Mine also letters 2/22/78.
SN ends in; 936
Mine is N447911. What are the chances of finding someone else with the same model, configuration and shipping date? If yours shipped to the same place, what a hat trick that would be.
I got my letter one day short of 45 years since mine shipped.

Hair Trigger

Mine like yours was shipped to Southern Police Equipment in Richmond, VA. I live just outside Richmond and purchased the gun in December 2024 from Greentop Sporting Goods. Per the salesman the gun was from a local collector that had just recently died. The gun came in the wooden case and had all the accessories with it. Definitely not shot much.

Welcome back to the Forum! You got a very nice 6" Model 27-2 in your collection. What's not to like about .357 Magnums and Model 27-2s? I've got a few myself, and my 6" 27-2 is also 1977-78 (N479553). I bought mine locally from the original owner who received it as a birthday present from his wife in 1978 (sorry for the lousy and ancient picture). They are all great shooters...very smooth and accurate. Enjoy!
